As seen in Magnolia Rouge
It was the night before the wedding. The rain was coming down and the guests were piling into the dining room for dinner. A toast was made and plates were delivered full of delicious food. And in the midst of all the commotion, Christeleny quietly walked over to Michael and threw her arms around his neck as she sat on his lap. In a room full of people, they were completely alone.
As I sit and reflect on my business, I cannot help but feel that my heart is so full of thankfulness. Marriage is such a treasure in life. Something that should not be taken lightly. It’s a commitment to the one you love, to allow your heart and theirs to melt into each other and beat as one. It’s the courage to walk into the unknown of what life will bring you, and the faith that you will withstand anything together. It’s the dedication that you have together to always speak the truth, to see the best in the other person, to not walk away and let anger root in your heart. It is a beautiful, beautiful thing. One that changes you into the better person that you never knew was there.
I am truly humbled when a couple invites me to be a part of their legacy that they are entering into together. To entrust me to document a most precious and intimate time in their lives. It is a gift to me to be able to work with such amazing couples that, above all else, are just deeply in love. What a gift it was to be in the presence of Michael & Christeleny as they shared tears of joy while they committed their lives to each other, forever.
